4. Switching to OSDP Auto-Detect Mode (Supports Wiegand Communication)

To configure the reader, download the Wavelynx Config App: [Download App]

Use the following token to switch a reader from OSDP-only mode to Auto-Detect mode:

  • Token: 5044-FEA-OSDP-018:>> <Enter Your Token>

5. Resetting the Reader to OSDP Auto-Detect Mode

The reset process varies depending on the firmware version:

Firmware 3.0.1.0 and earlier:

  1. Remove power from the reader.

  2. Place the reader in a tampered state (tilt it at least 20 degrees from horizontal or vertical).

  3. Power on the reader while it is in the tampered state.

  4. Wait for 4 BEEPS, indicating the reset is complete.

  5. The reader will return to OSDP Auto-Detect mode with default settings.

Firmware 4.0.0.0 to 4.0.4.0:

  1. Remove power from the reader.

  2. Place any compatible access card against the reader face.

  3. Power on the reader and wait 5 seconds until the LED turns magenta.

  4. Power cycle the reader or remove the card to let it restart.

  5. The reader will emit 4 BEEPS during startup, indicating the reset is complete.

Note: This reset will not restore default OSDP settings.

Firmware 3.1.0.0, 4.1.0.0, and later:

  • Use configuration card 5044-FEA-OSDP-018 to reset the reader back to OSDP Auto-Detect mode.

OSDP Default Settings:

  • Address: 0

  • Baud Rate: 9600
