Camera Wall Setup and Timeline View – Mobile App

This article walks you through how to set up your Camera Wall, manage cameras, and use the Timeline playback controls.

The Camera Wall in the Genea Mobile Access app for Arcules VMS integration lets you view all your site cameras in one place, monitor live feeds, scrub through recorded footage using the Timeline View, and trigger a Quick Grant to unlock paired doors directly from the camera view.

1. Access the Camera Wall

  1. Open the Genea Mobile Access app and sign in.

  2. Tap Control Center at the bottom navigation bar.

  3. Tap the Camera Wall tab at the top of the screen.

If no cameras have been added yet, you will see the No Camera Yet placeholder screen with an Add camera to start message.

2. Add Cameras to the Camera Wall

  1. From the empty Camera Wall screen, tap Add in the top-right corner.

  2. The Add Cameras sheet opens, listing all cameras available at your site under AVAILABLE CAMERAS (for example, Demo Unit 2386, Equipment Configuration Room, Kitchen Door).

  3. Tap the circle next to each camera you want to add to your Camera Wall. A check mark indicates the camera is selected.

  4. Tap Done in the top-right corner to save your selection.

  5. Tap Cancel to exit without making changes.

3. View Live Camera Feeds

Once cameras are added, they appear as live tiles on the Camera Wall.

  • While a feed is loading, the tile displays a Buffering indicator in yellow.

  • Once the stream is ready, a red Live badge appears in the lower-right corner of the tile, confirming the live feed is active.

  • The camera name (for example, Kitchen Door) is displayed in the upper-left corner of each tile.

4. Edit or Rearrange Cameras

To manage the cameras shown on your Camera Wall:

  1. Tap the three-dot (⋯) menu in the top-right of the Cameras section header.

  2. A pop-up appears with two options:

    • Edit – Add or remove cameras from the wall.

    • Rearrange – Reorder cameras to set the display priority on your wall.

  3. Select the option you need and follow the prompts.

5. Open a Camera in Full-Screen View

To inspect a camera feed more closely:

  1. Tap any camera tile on the Camera Wall to open the full-screen view.

  2. The camera name is shown at the top, and the live timestamp (date and time) appears in the upper-right corner.

  3. Tap the back arrow (<) in the top-left to return to the Camera Wall.

  4. Tap the expand icon in the top-right to switch to landscape (full-screen) mode.

In landscape mode, the camera feed fills the entire screen for a wider field of view. A Live badge in the lower-right confirms the stream is real-time.

6. Use Quick Grant from the Camera View

If the camera is paired with a door (for example, the Kitchen Door), you can unlock the door directly from the live feed without leaving the camera screen.

  1. In full-screen view, locate the lock icon with the >>>>>> swipe arrows at the bottom-center of the screen.

  2. Swipe the lock icon to the right to trigger a Quick Grant.

  3. Once the door unlocks, the lock icon turns green and the message "Quick grant was successful." appears on screen.

7. Use the Timeline View for Recorded Playback

The Timeline View lets you scrub back through recorded footage to review past events.

Understanding the Timeline

At the bottom of the full-screen camera view, you will see a horizontal timeline with hour markers (for example, 9 AM, 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM):

  • Orange bars indicate periods when recorded footage is available.

  • White / blank bars indicate time periods with no recording.

  • A blue marker with the current timestamp (for example, 10:13) shows your current playback position.

Scrubbing Through Footage

  1. Drag the blue timestamp marker left or right along the timeline to jump to any point in the recording or click on the Date & Time to select specific date & time.

  2. Release at the desired time, and the camera view updates to show footage from that moment.

  3. The date (for example, 5/7/26) and the selected playback time (for example, 6:53 AM) are displayed on the left side of the screen.

Playback Controls

Tap the center of the screen during playback to display playback controls:

  • Rewind 10 seconds – Tap the circular arrow with 10 on the left to jump back 10 seconds.

  • Pause / Play – Tap the center button to pause or resume playback.

  • Forward 10 seconds – Tap the circular arrow with 10 on the right to skip ahead 10 seconds.

Return to Live View

To exit playback and return to the real-time feed:

  • Tap the Go Live button on the right side of the screen while in playback mode, or

  • Tap the red Live badge to jump straight to the most recent live feed.
