Building to tenant syncing also known as reverse building syncing, synchonizes user account information and cards data in real-time from a building portal to tenant portals. The feature makes it easy to manage users and their cards for non-hardware tenant portals by allowing the authorized members of building to dump user data to tenant portals.
Enable reverse user provisioning settings on a tenant portal
1) Navigate to Building Sync > Settings from a tenant portal.
2) You will see two different settings:
Create and Update User : With the setting ON, creating or updating users and cards in the building portal will be reflected in the tenant portal as well. If the user already exists in the tenant portal, the two accounts will be automatically linked. It is recommended to use an Email ID to create user accounts to avoid duplications.
Delete User : With the setting ON, deleting a user in the building portal will delete the same user from tenant portal as well. Reactivating the user can be done by providing a location access from user profile page.
3) Turn ON the settings as per the requirement.
Sync users from building to tenant portals
1) If the tenant property has enabled the Create and Update User settings for building sync, then building will sync users to tenant in an event of the user creating or updating. To sync a user from building to tenant, create a user in building portal with role "User" and selecting the intended tenant.
2) The same user will be created on tenant portal as well.
Sync users' cards from building to tenant portal
1) Assign a card to a user in building portal and same card will be synced to tenant portal as well.
Please note that the card will be synced to tenant portal with same details as building portal and with badge type as "Default Badge Type".
Resync building to tenant user provisoning
You can select Building Sync > Settings > Resync from a tenant portal to bulk synchronize all users from a building portal to tenant portal. Resync will perform a bulk operation to import changes for users from building to tenant.
