To set up the double card swipe feature, follow these steps:

1. Go to the specific door details page where you want to activate the double card swipe feature. Edit the door access mode and scroll down to 'Double Swipe' option.

2. Turn on the "Double Card Swipe" toggle switch and then click on the save button.

Activating this feature allows the door to recognize a double card swipe within a 5-second interval. This action creates a double card event, which can be utilized for IO rule configurations. Note that for the Classroom and Office extended modes to work correctly, this option must be enabled.

3. After saving the setting for the reader, navigate to the IO rules page to define the specific actions that should occur when a double card swipe is detected.

Create an IO rule to define actions for double card swipe:

4. Create a rule and choose the controller associated with the door where the double card swipe feature has been activated.

5. Generate a trigger as depicted in the provided screenshot:

IMPORTANT NOTE: There are two transaction reasons associated with double card swipes:

  1. Access Granted - Double Card:

    • Applicability: Choose this when the door access mode is not set to "Locked (Exit only)", "Disabled (No entry, no exit)", or "Unlocked (Unlimited access)".

    • Description: Use this option if you want to set up an action for a double swipe event on doors with specific access modes like Card Only, PIN Only, Card and PIN, Card or PIN, etc..

  2. Access Granted - Double Card Event in Locked or Unlocked Modes:

    • Applicability: Select this option when the door access mode is either "Locked (Exit only)", "Disabled (No entry, no exit)", or "Unlocked (Unlimited access)".

    • Description: This option is for configuring actions related to a double card swipe event specifically on doors that are either locked or unlocked.

6. After setting the trigger, proceed to establish an action that determines the door's state upon a double swipe. For instance, the provided example depicts an action that disables the door when a double swipe occurs.

You can also define other actions like triggering specific output when double swipe is done.
