This guide shows you how to connect Genea MCP to Notion. Once connected, you can ask Notion AI to take actions in your Genea account, like creating guest invitations.

Before you start
An admin has to enable Genea MCP for your organization and allow your role to connect. See the Genea MCP guide for how.
Each person connects Genea MCP for themselves. There is no workspace-wide setup.
If you have access to more than one Genea account, double check which one you sign in to.
Step 1: Start a new conversation in Notion
In Notion, open a new AI conversation.
Step 2: Open Notion connection settings
Click Settings.
Go to Connections.
Select Manage Connections.
Find the Custom MCP option.
Step 3: Copy the MCP URL from Genea
Open the Genea account you want to connect.
Go to Integrations, then Roll your own.
Find Genea MCP. If it is not enabled, an admin needs to enable it first.
Copy the MCP URL.
If you are not an admin, you can use the MCP URL listed in the Genea MCP guide instead.
Step 4: Add the MCP URL in Notion
Go back to the Custom MCP setup in Notion.
Paste the MCP URL.
Give the connection a clear name, such as Genea Production.
Leave the other settings as they are, including OAuth.
Step 5: Connect and sign in
Click Connect.
Complete the sign-in flow.
If you have access to more than one Genea account, pick the correct one.
Step 6: Try it out
Ask Notion to do something in Genea. For example: "Create 10 guest invitations for tomorrow at 10am at the main office." Notion will use Genea MCP to complete the request. If it goes through, you are connected.
