With Safe Workplace, you may elect to implement employee health screenings to ensure everyone coming into the office is feeling healthy. Screenings are customizable and will be carried out via a questionnaire within the Genea Mobile Access app.

Once you've enabled the check-in flow for employee registration, you will be able to access your account and edit the safe workplace check-in flow questionnaire.

When employees check themselves in ahead of arrival at workplace, they’ll go through your customized check-in flow.

This article outlines how to create your check-in flow questionnaire. To learn how to configure your system to operate under a check-in flow, click here.

Adding Questions to the Check-in Flow:

To define a check-in flow for employees, you will need to create questions that you would like your users to answer before they can access your property.

These questions can be related to employees' health and safety. Depending upon the way a given user answers the questions, you can configure your system to either permit or not permit them to access the property. For example, if we define a customized smart-rule question asking the employee, β€œhave you come in contact with anyone with flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days?” and the employee replies β€œYES”, then through the smart rule, Genea will deny granting the user access to that particular employee for the given day. If the employee were to reply, 'NO,' then the check-in flow would continue onto the next question.

Follow the steps below to add questions to your check-in flow.

How to Customize Your User Registration Check-In Flow

1) Locate 'Check-in Flow' under the 'Safe Workplace' menu.

2) To create a question, click on the β€˜Add New Question’ drop down bar, and select the type of field that you would like to create.

Defining an Employee Screening Question:

Check-in flow questions can be built to have either 'Single Select' or 'Multi Select' answer(s) based upon how you want the employees to answer the particular question. A question defined as Single Select will allow the employee to choose only one answer option from a list of options during the check-in process. A Multi Select question will allow employees to choose more than one option as their answer.

To define a check-in flow question, click on either 'Single Select' or 'Multi Select.'

This will open up a modal where you can build your question, and provide the responses to that question for the employees.

Click 'Save' to add the question to your Check-in Flow.

Associating the Questions with Smart Rules: Single Select

Depending upon the answer provided by an employee, you may want to disqualify that person's access to your property temporarily. You can do this by implementing a Smart Rule.

Follow the steps below to enable Smart Rule on a given question.

1) After defining the question and it's responses, click 'Add Smart Rule.'

2) Under 'Triggers,' select the given answer that would result in denying a user permission to access your property.

3) Click 'Save' to add the smart rule to your question.

Once a Smart Rule is enabled, when a user provides an answer that is a trigger, that user will be kicked out of the check-in process and will not be able to access your property for the given day. Their credentials will deny access if they try to badge in at your workplace.

Associating the Questions with Smart Rules: Multi Select

Similar to Single Select questions, you can add triggers and action to your multi-select questions.

1) Once the multi-select question and responses are defined under 'Question,' click on 'Add Smart Rule.'

2) Under 'Triggers,' select the given answer(s) that would result in denying a user permission to access your property.

3) Click 'Save' to add the smart rule to your question.

Defining Actions to Multi Select Questions

You can define a multi-select question to deny access to your employees when:

  1. Any of the conditions defined in the triggers are selected by the employee during check-in.

  2. All of the conditions defined in the triggers are selected by the employee during check-in.

When a user provides an answer that is a trigger, that user will be kicked out of the check-in process and will not be able to access your property for the given day. Their credentials will deny access if they try to badge in at your workplace.
