How do I create an Overtime HVAC request?
Follow the below steps to create a Overtime HVAC request:
Navigate to "Calendar View" in the left-hand side menu and select the area you want to create the request for
Building - a building in which you are requesting the service
Tenant - usually the name of the company that you work for
Area - an area in the building assigned to your company, usually a suite number, floor, or a particular area in the suite, depending on the mechanical setup of the building
"+ Create" button on the right side of the screen:
Next, you can provide the details regarding your Overtime HVAC request:
Service Type: HVAC & Lighting is the most common setup, meaning that HVAC & Lights will be turned on at the same time
Date of Service: this is a date for which you are requesting the Overtime HVAC service
Start Time: in building's time zone, the time at which the Overtime HVAC service should start
Duration: total duration of the service, in hours and minutes
Recurrence: Choose between one-time and recurring requests. In case of recurrence, you will be able to choose days of the week when you want the service to repeat
Comments: a reference that will appear on the billing statement, usually used to indicate the reason for the Overtime HVAC request
Estimated cost: an estimated cost based on your lease terms and the duration of the Overtime HVAC request
Hitting "Save and Close" will confirm your Overtime HVAC request, and it will appear in the calendar view on the next screen.
By clicking on the request card, you will be able to see the details, or cancel the request.
What do I do after I create a request?
Now that you have created an Overtime HVAC request, Genea will send a confirmation email with the details of the request to the requester, and will automatically trigger turning on the mechanical equipment at the building at the specified time(s) to provide air conditioning and/or lighting in the specified area of the building. Please note that on days when there is a large discrepancy between the indoor and outdoor temperature, it might take a while for the indoor temperature to reach the comfort level. If there are any issues with the service, feel free to contact Genea Support at any time.
