At present, Genea VMS supports two methods of notifications for hosts:

  • Email notifications

  • Genea Mobile push notifications

1) Email notifications for the host:

You as a host will always receive email notifications in the events:

  1. When a visitor is denied

  2. When a visitor declines your invited visit

  3. When a visitor declines to sign a mandatory document

  4. When someone else cancels your planned visit.

Preference for setting up a visitor arrival notification can be done from your Genea mobile app.

2) Genea Mobile push notification:

iPhone App: If you are an iPhone user, you will need to permit the app for notifying you with different notifications.

While you log into your Genea mobile app, click on "Enable notifications" to be able to receive push messages from Genea.

Once you permit to receive the notification, Genea will always notify you via push messages about your visitors' denied status, when they decline your visit, when they refuse to sign the document or when admins/sub-admins cancel your visit.

If you do not enable it, host push messages will not be received.

Setting up your preferences for "Visitor Arrival" notification in Genea iOS mobile app:

You can set the notification preferences for "Visitor Arrival" notification as below:

1.In your iPhone, open the Genea mobile app.

2. Navigate "More" options and click on "Notify me when visitor arrives" under the visitor management section.

3. To enable push message and email notification for visitor arrival, toggle the settings to the β€œon” position.

Android App: If you are an Android user, as a host will always receive push notifications in the events:

  1. When a visitor is denied

  2. When a visitor declines your invited visit

  3. When a visitor declines to sign a mandatory document

  4. When someone else cancels your planned visit.

Setting up your preferences for "Visitor Arrival" notification in the Genea Android mobile app:

Just like in the iOS mobile app, you can set the notification preferences for the "Visitor Arrival" notification in your Android phone. To set the preference of visitor arrival notification in a Genea android mobile app, proceed as below:

  1. Open your Genea mobile application.

2. Go to the "Control Center" under the "More" option.

3. Locate the "Notification Control Center".

4. Click on "Notify me when visitor arrives" under the visitor notification section.
