Global Admins, Admins and Security have full access to this page. System Admins can remotely unlock or perform quick grants upon doors from locations they have access to via their Global Control Center page.

Issuing quick grant from Global Control Center:

1. Navigate to the Doors tab from the Global Control Center page. You will see a list of all Genea-enabled doors at different locations. Find the door upon which you would like to issue a quick grant.

2. Press the “Quick Grant” button listed next to the door name. The button will turn blue, and the door will unlock. A quick grant mimics a credential swipe so the door will remain unlocked just long enough to allow someone to get through the door. Once the button turns gray, the door or gate will re-lock.

Issuing a remote unlock from Global Control Center:

1. Press the 'Lock / Unlock' button listed next to the door. The button will turn blue, and the door will unlock.

IMPORTANT: The door will remain unlocked until the button is pressed a second time to re-lock the door. For this reason, we recommend using the remote lock/unlock function with extreme care.

2. To re-lock the door, press the “Lock/Unlock” button once more. Once the button turns gray, the door will re-lock.

Adding doors to favorites:

In Global Control Center, your favorites are the doors on which you perform remote operations most often. Genea lets you customize your own Favorite list. You can simply click the star icon beside the door name from the list and doors will segregate as Favorite.

The doors marked favorite will be available under the “Favorite” tab for easy and quick access.

Using the Emergency Lockdown & Hold Open Features:

Everyone aims to avoid emergency situations, but the reality is that they can occur. If disaster were to strike, physical access to your locations will likely be at the forefront of your mind. As an admin you can perform Emergency Lockdowns and Hold Opens at different locations of your site within the Genea Global Control Center.

Emergency Lockdown:

An Emergency Lockdown is a function that can be utilized to lockdown all access points at a specific location simultaneously. During an emergency lockdown, all doors of the location will be inaccessible, and all active credentials will cease to grant access until the lockdown is lifted.

Emergency Hold Open:

An Emergency Hold Open is a function that can be utilized to unlock all access points at a specific location simultaneously. During an emergency hold open, free ingress and egress will be available to everyone, and users will not need to scan valid credentials to gain access to any given door(s).

To perform an emergency operation on doors, navigate to the “Emergency” tab. You will see the list of all locations. Click on “Lockdown” or “Hold Open” as per the action you would like to take for any location.
