Are you expecting someone to visit your property but they don’t have a key? No problem! Genea administrators can remotely unlock doors or gates via their Genea admin account.
For security reasons, only Genea administrators have access to this feature. Full system Admins can remotely unlock or perform quick grants upon doors via either their Genea admin dashboards, or directly within the Genea app. Security and Front Desk sub-admins, meanwhile, have the ability to perform remote quick grants via their Genea admin dashboards and mobile apps, however they will only be able to remotely manage doors within their own access groups.

How to Issue A Quick Grant from a Genea Admin Dashboard
1) Log into your Genea admin dashboard and navigate to the 'Control Center.' Within the Control Center you will see a list of all Genea-enabled doors and gates at your property. Find the door or gate upon which you would like to issue a quick grant.
2) Press the 'Quick Grant' button listed next to the door or gate. The button will turn blue and the door will unlock. A quick grant mimics a credential swipe so the door will remain unlocked just long enough to allow someone to get through the door. Once the button turns gray, the door or gate will re-lock.
How to Issue A Remote Unlock from a Genea Admin Dashboard
1) Log into your Genea admin dashboard and navigate to the 'Control Center.' Within the Control Center you will see a list of all Genea-enabled doors and gates at your property. Find the door or gate upon which you would like to perform a remote unlock.
2) Press the 'Lock / Unlock' button listed next to the door. The button will turn blue and the door will unlock. IMPORTANT: The door will remain unlocked until the button is pressed a second time to re-lock the door. For this reason, we recommend using the remote lock/unlock function with extreme care.
3) To re-lock the door, press the 'Lock / Unlock' button once more. Once the button turns gray, the door will re-lock.
