1. How to setup Schindler elevator for a location?
a. Navigate to the integration page. Scroll to Schindler and click "Manage"
b. You will now see a list of location. Click "Enable" against the location you want to set up the Schindler elevator
c. You will now see a popup with two step. Read the questions on step one and select the desired answer. Click "Next" once done
d. In step 2, name the device and enter the mac address of the Genea connector device. Click "Install".
e. You will be lead to the detail page. Your basic Schindler-Genea is ready. You can now add more device or update the configuration details as required.
2. How to link Schindler profile template with Genea access group?
This steps can be completed if a connector device is configured in the Schindler-Genea integration.
a. Navigate to Integration> Elevators - Schindler> your desired location.
b. On the Schindler location detail page, you will see three tabs. Navigate to profile template
c. Click on the add button to start mapping Genea Access group with Schindler Profile templates in priority. Click "Save" once done.
The changes in profile template are then synced with the Schindler system and few actions maybe disabled till the sync is completed.
3. How to link Schindler terminal with Genea doors?
This steps can be completed if a connector device is configured in the Schindler-Genea integration.
a. Navigate to Integration> Elevators - Schindler> your desired location.
b. On the Schindler location detail page, you will see three tabs. Navigate to terminal
c. Click on the add button. You will see a new row appears.
d. Enter the desired details and save it.
e. Continue to add more rows as required.
4. How to add home floor for each user?
This option is only available if you have Schindler integration with Genea in place and you have selected to enable home floor in the integration settings for that location
Navigate to the user profile template
Add or edit the location where you want to provide the home floor
You will see the home floor option as in below image. Add the home floor and click "Save"
5. How to subscribe to event?
In case, the controller goes offline or there is any break in connection. You will have to subscribe to the event again. Follow the steps below to subscribe to events
a. Navigate to Integration> Elevators - Schindler> your desired location.
b. On the Schindler location detail page, you will see three tabs. Navigate to terminal
c. Click on the Subscribe Events button on the right hand corner
6. How to sync cards to Schindler system in port integration?
To synchronize cards with the Schindler system in port integration, follow these steps:
Enable the 'Manual Card Selection' option from the global overview by navigating to Global Overview > Settings > Enable Manual Card Format Selection.
Once enabled, you will have the option to select the card format while creating a card in your portal.
Choose the appropriate card format and add the card number when you intend to sync cards to the Schindler application.
