With Quick Reporting, users can effortlessly generate reports from the Hardware and Access Groups sections without the need to navigate to the Reporting module and configure multiple settings in the Global Overview. Instead, they can simply access the Hardware and Access Group sections in the selected location to download, email, or schedule the report. To quickly export a report, follow the steps below.
This guide also includes information on accessing and interpreting exported reports to help users make the most of their data.
Hardware Report
1) Navigate to the Controller table in 'Hardware' section in location view.
2) Apply all necessary filters to the data. Genea reporting mirrors whatever filters user apply to the data. For example, if user is looking to pull a report that only includes active Controllers within the system, they can apply ['Status' > Online] filter to the data in order to pull a report that reflects only this information.β
3) Click on "Reports" dropdown button. Three options are available to export the report.
Download Report: On selecting this option, a confirmation pop-up will appear, presenting information on the applied filters along with "Download" and "Cancel" button. On clicking "Download", within moments, the report will automatically download to the user's local directory.
IMPORTANT: Once the report has been generated, it will be downloaded onto your computer as a CSV file. The downloaded file is typically saved in the default Downloads folder on your computer. If you cannot locate the file, check for potential delays or consult your IT department if a custom download location is configured.
Email Report: When this option is selected, a configuration modal pops-up, where user can enter the recipients' email addresses. Upon confirming, the report URL will be sent to the specified email IDs. Users also have the flexibility to enter multiple email addresses simultaneously.
Schedule Report: This option automates the delivery of reports to designated email recipients at specific times each day, week, or month. Users can effortlessly access these reports directly from their email inbox, eliminating the need to follow multiple steps to manually generate the report.
Refer to the sample modal below to configure the parameters to receive the reports automatically via email at the defined intervals.
Access Groups Report
To generate reports for Access Groups, navigate to the Access Control menu and proceed to the Access Policies section. From there, select the Access Group tab to initiate report generation using the same method as mentioned above.
1) Navigate to the Controller table in 'Access Control' section in location view.
2) Apply all necessary filters to the data.
3) Click on "Reports" dropdown button. Three options are available to export the report.
